Featured in galleries around the world, including Paris, Washington, DC, Portland, and Chicago. Showcased by media outlets such as Africa News, BBC, Fox13 Seattle, Converge Media, and KOMO News. Over the years, I’ve been honored with multiple awards recognizing my activism, including Washington State University’s 2024 MLK Social Justice Award, my most recent achievement.

I am a self-taught artist working in the mediums of photography, videography, and directing. My journey into the arts began at the age of nine through poetry and acting. I didn’t initially choose this path, but over time, I’ve realized it chose me. While my work has been showcased in galleries as far away as Paris, the single frame hanging in my aunt’s house in Axum, Ethiopia remains my proudest achievement. Influenced by the legacy of Black photographers and deeply inspired by my Tigrayan heritage, my art is not just a profession—it’s the fulfillment of my calling.
